International Award for the Baker couch
Wallpaper Design Award 2010 went to the Baker couch, which 59 years after it was born won it’s first international prize in the category “Best re-introduction.”
It is the international design, fashion and lifestyle magazine Wallpaper, which every year nominates a number of prizes in different categories.

Originally Finn Juhl designed this sofa for Baker Furniture Inc. in USA in 1951. The sculptural forms are inspired by the modern free art, in which Finn Juhl was very interested. The sofa has an upholstered body divided in two and is resting upon an elegant and light wooden construction – a typical example of how Finn Juhl separated the elements in order to create a visual lightness. New tall stock – better logistic
We are so pleased that we this month are moving all our stock facilities to a new built tall stock in Ringkøbing. Having only one stock means a faster and a better handling which we hope our customers will benefit from.

The Pelican turns 70 years  - and gets buttons
This year it is 70 years since Finn Juhl designed the Pelican chair. We are celebrating this by introducing a jubilee edition which has buttons. When Finn Juhl introduced the Pelican for the first time, at Snedkernes Efterårsudstilling in 1940, the chair actually did have buttons.

The chair with buttons is already in production and will from now on be available along with all the other Finn Juhl furniture.
